How does thermal clothing work?

Thermals wick sweat away from your body, preventing you from feeling cold (as you would if sweat were to evaporate off your skin). It helps retain warm air next to your skin, so you don't feel the chill from the wind!

Should thermals be loose or tight fitting?

Thermals should fit nice and snug against your skin, to prevent warm air from escaping out. Try a turtleneck design, perfect for layering under knitwear. If you are between sizes, we would recommend sizing down to ensure maximum temperature regulation!

What are thermals made of?

Thermals are made from natural fibres that retain heat. Merino Wool naturally retains heat and is commonly used in thermal base layers, like our Ever Cosy collection from sloggi. Blended with natural Lyocell fibres, Ever Cosy will keep you nice and cosy in cool climates.

How are thermals different to other clothes?

Thermals are made from fibres that retain heat (like our Merino Wool and Lyocell blend in the Ever Cosy collection). They are also designed to sit closely against your skin to ensure air cannot escape, so you stay nice and warm. Thermals should be worn as base layers, underneath your other knitwear, shirts or coats, but over the top of your bras and underwear.
