High Impact Sports Bras are necessary if you participate in high impact sporting activity (think anything involving jumping or running). Breasts contain Cooper's ligaments which are delicate and can stretch during unsupported movement. High Impact Sports Bras (or high support sports bras) will support the breast tissue and reduce the impact of bouncing on these delicate ligaments.
Sports Bras have structured cups which mould the shape of breast tissue while offering varying levels of support for exercise. Crop Tops are less structured and compress breast tissue against the chest. A great structured sport bra is the triaction Ultra Sports Bra, which contains underwire and a two-panelled cup.
